Rules
Welcome to the ProPickPools 2024 Euro Cup Soccer Pool. If you haven't played before this is done with a different spin than you are probably accustomed to. We always like to be a little different than the types of pools you are used to by tweaking the rules to make it our own.
Please take a look around the site and especially at the
rules before you register so you are familiar with the format of the pool.
The cost of the pools is $20 . You can pay Commissioner Gordon in cash, email him the money or pay by credit card when you register with ProPickPools.
Game by Game Picks
Pick the winner for each individual game in the entire 2024 Euro Cup Soccer Tournament
Point System
Picking a correct win = 1 point
Picking a correct tie = 1 point
Picking incorrectly = 0 points
A correct win/tie:
The game will be decided by the FINAL outcome, this includes overtime and penalty kicks whenever necessary. If there is a tie at the end of regulation but there is a winner in overtime, picking a "Tie" is a LOSS. However if it ends in a tie, picking a "Tie" is a WIN.
Deadlines
Each days games must be selected before the first game of the day starts. No exceptions. The website will not allow you to make a pick or change your pick after this time.
EXAMPLE:
- Picks for Match#1 (GER vs. SCO) must be in by June 14th at 3:00pm.
- Picks for Match#2 (ENG vs. IRA), Match#3 (SEN vs. NED) and Match#4 (USA vs. WAL) must be in by Nov 21st at 8:00am.
***In the case of a discrepancy between the Webserver Freeze time and your computer's clock, the Webserver time is ALWAYS right. That means if you leave it to the last minute you may not get your pick in. To avoid getting a loss due to not picking, do not pick last minute. You may even pick days ahead of time to be sure you get your picks in. You are still able to change your picks as much as you'd like until the deadline.
Prizes
Prize money will depend on the number of participants. In order to play the Game by Game, each participant will have to pay $20 to the pot. The total pot will be divided accordingly and given to the top 3 positions. The prize amounts will be posted June 14th after the Euro Cup Begins and no more participants are allowed to join.
To Win:
To win you must have the most points at the end of the tournament. In the event of a tie at either the 1st, 2nd or 3rd spot in the standings, the number of people at that spot will divide the total money allotted for that spot.
EXAMPLE: Theoretically the Prize lots are: 1st Place = $1000, 2nd Place = $300, 3rd Place = $100. There is one winner, this poolie gets the $1000, but 4 poolies are tied for 2nd place. Since the next person after that is technically in 6th place they are awarded no money. The 4 people in 2nd would split the $300+$100=$400 for a total of $100 each.
